(1) Directions to the Campus
Via I-85 from north (or) south of Charlotte
Take exit 45A (Harris Blvd East). Turn/merge right onto Harris Blvd and go one mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49. At the bottom of exit ramp, turn left onto 49. Go 1 mile and turn left at the light into the main entrance of the UNC Charlotte campus.
From Charlotte-Douglas Int'l Airport
Leave terminal on Airport Freeway Road, go straight at traffic light. Get in left lane to exit for Billy Graham Parkway North to I-85. Stay in right lane on Billy Graham Parkway through two traffic lights. Immediately under second light, turn right onto I-85N toward Concord. Go 11.2 miles to Exit 45A (Harris Blvd East). Turn/merge right onto Harris Blvd and go one mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49. At the bottom of exit ramp, turn left onto 49. Go 1 mile and turn left at the light into the main entrance of the UNC Charlotte campus.
From north of Charlotte via I-77
Take exit 18 (Harris Blvd). Turn left onto Harris and go 7 miles to the exit for UNC
Charlotte/Hwy 49. At the bottom of exit ramp, turn left onto 49. Go 1 mile and turn left at the light into the main entrance of the UNC Charlotte campus.
From south of Charlotte via I-77
Take I-77N to I-85N and follow above directions via I-85.
From east of Charlotte via US 74
Turn right onto Harris Blvd, and travel 9 miles to UNC Charlotte\Hwy 49 exit. At the bottom of exit ramp, turn left onto 49. Go 1 mile and turn left at the light into the main entrance of the UNC Charlotte campus.
From Concord area via US 29
Turn left onto Harris Boulevard and go one-half mile to UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49 exit. At the bottom of exit ramp, turn left onto 49. Go 1 mile and turn left at the light into the main entrance of the UNC Charlotte campus.
From south of Charlotte via 485 East
Take 485 east to the Harrisburg/Highway 49 exit. Turn right at the end of the exit and keep going straight on Highway 49. Go past the intersection at Mallard Creek Church Road and John Kirk Road. At the next light turn right into the main entrance of the UNC Charlotte campus.
(2) Directions to Visitor Parking
The main entrance to the UNC Charlotte campus is at the stoplight at the intersection of Highway 49 (University City Blvd.) and Broadrick Blvd.
After turning into the main entrance you will enter a traffic circle but continue straight on Broadrick Blvd, keeping the pond to your right.
After you pass the pond on your right you’ll come to the bronze statue of the 49er Miner in the median where Broadrick Blvd will end. Your only option will be to turn left.
After turning left, you’ll quickly pass a small parking lot on the right. Turn right immediately after you pass the small parking lot. Make your first left into the Cone Visitor Parking Deck.
(3) Directions to Barnhardt Activity Center
The Barnhardt Activity Center is north of the Cone Parking Deck. Look for the Clock Tower which sits on the east corner of the Barnhardt Center. Walk towards the Clock Tower. |
