*Postdoctoral position in design and fabrication of organic polymer solar cells *
Candidates with a PhD in materials chemistry and engineering, or the physical sciences,and with a strong background in materials fabrication and device measurements are sought to assume a leadership role in an NSF funded collaboration between chemistry (Ed Samulski), physics (Rene Lopez), and applied mathematics (Sorin Mitran) at the University of North Carolina.
This project is focused in nanofabrication and patterning for photonic designed organic solar cells.
Our recent publications illustrate the motivation and scope of our scientific approach to organic photovoltaic materials.*
The initial appointment shall be for one-year with a possible one or two-year extension based upon performance evaluation. In particular, candidates with a strong interest in interdisciplinary work are encouraged to apply. Salary is competitive and will reflect prior research experience.
